February 24, 2023 - Retail $55. Ridiculously heavy bottle. Under cork. Three weeks after the last and much remains the same here, the color is a brilliant straw with intense lemon, toasted almond, subtle oak, a hint of honeysuckle. Not nearly as intense as the 2008, but still a fantastically balanced wine. Nice citrus and golden delicious apple, with a bit of spice, vanilla, honey, and marzipan. While still on the big side of Chardonnay, the style has softened, albeit just a smidge. Big Chards need love too, and I am willing to give it. Outstanding.

February 4, 2023 - Retail $55. Heavy bottle. Under cork. Wow, the comments here all over the place including one guy who voted he "liked it" while giving it a 60. That's just a hair above failing, bruh, you understand that, right? Vibrant straw in the glass with intense pear and yellow apple on the nose. The palate is vibrant, tart, and clean, and really close to a whoa. Great fruit and tartness on the palate and close to perfectly in balance. Yowza. And Whoa.

June 26, 2022 - A big viscous wine with bright, slightly sweet fruit and decent amount of oak still present despite the age. Cries out for food and went well with grilled shrimp and salmon. It was a great buy at $25 and I’ll wait a while to try my last bottle but I don’t feel the need to grab newer vintages…

December 7, 2021 - PnP chilled. Clear, light straw color. Nice med intensity nose. This drank way better than expected. Exceptional Chard flavor with a hint of oak and French accent. Clean, super balanced/integration and a long firm finish. Nothing off. $37

October 29, 2021 - Very nicechardonnay that has good oak and viscosity. Wine should be drank by end of the year as it has peaked. Had with crab legs and butter which paired extremely well.

October 2, 2021 - No contemporaneous notes. My second and last bottle. This required an hour of air to open up (it was off until that point). Once it did, it was a rich, viscous, low acid with prominent oak notes and very pure (not sweet) fruit flavors. There is what I believe some reviewers refer to as "reductiveness" to the wine, which I didn't particularly care for. Continued to improve as we consumed it. A nice pairing with the Beringer Knights Valley Cab of the same vintage.

May 24, 2021 - Drank with prawn & crab risotto. PnP 1 hour consumption length.
Bright vibrant yellow colour. Some secondary, but this wine is young and bold.
Big flavours of oaky vanilla, apple, honeysuckle & popcorn throughout.
It was a little unwieldy, like a well-dressed drunk toddler stomping around. Cute and well put together, but uncoordinated.
Balance slightly out of whack as it needs more time to calm down. Although it did pair well with the buttery & cheesy rissotto.
Overall has great potential, but needs a little more time to stop yelling at everyone that it's a Napa Chard.

December 25, 2020 - White Christmas tasting. Beringer shocked the outperformed Aubert, Maxem and Peter Michael in a blind tasting.

November 26, 2020 - This is a truly distinctive and artfully crafted Chard, reminiscent of Montrachet in weight and exquisite fruit / acid balance. Consistently excellent year to year.
