July 1, 2022 - Delicious, opened up after about 45 minutes without decanting. I don’t think it needed any more time in the bottle. Just a solid wine with perfect tannins and a nice herbaceous spice to the finish. I wish I had more of this one in my cellar. Gotta love what those gravelly clay soils produce in that region.

March 15, 2022 - Agree with WHOOSKEYWINE's note from November 2020. The wine isn't complex but it does have a great combination of medium + body/tannin, acid, dryness and fruit to balance. The alcohol is a little higher than it needs to be. It may get better with more time.

November 4, 2020 - Medium ruby hue. Aromas and flavors of black cherry, earthy, licorice, oak, pepper, and plum. Medium-plus body; grainy, medium-plus tannins; and medium acidity. Fresh, lively bouquet; smooth, rounded texture; and long, tannic finish. Blend of Merlot (70%), Cabernet Sauvignon (20%), and Cabernet Franc (10%).

March 13, 2020 - This is a solid, average vintage of this cuvee. Drank side bu side with the 2012 and very little difference. The 2015 has higher alcohol, is a little tighter as expected, but has deeper fruit.

November 8, 2018 - Nose of mushroom, cinnamon, and dark berries. Fruit tastes of dark berries and currants, mineral. Structured tannins, medium bodied.

April 12, 2018 - Nose rich of mocha and casis. Dark fruit and firm tannins needs a little more time or just have dinner with it.

March 11, 2018 - Drinking far better than expected given its very young age. Strong Bordeaux nose on first open. Red berries, slate, and burnt toast. Tannins already pretty calm and integrated. Somewhat juicy. Flavorful. Medium body. Short finish. Worth grabbing a few for the next 5-7 years if you can find it for $20. www. vincrush.com

November 30, 2017 - Grand Cercle wines: Mainly 2015 just bottled (Chateau de Pressac Saint Emilion): What a fun label! And at 15% alcohol, certainly very rich. But not over the top, as one would expect from the alcohol level. As one gets to the finish, it does come across as a bit heady, however. But it is a flavorful wine.
