September 30, 2023 - This is a really nice medium-to-full bodied WA cab that shows more complexity and balance than most Napa cabs I’ve had in the same general price range (and I say that as a big fan of Napa wines). Definitely more to my tastes than their Gravura, which is markedly more mineral-inflected and savory. I will make a point to find more of this. Definitely recommended.

February 10, 2023 - Compared Girard Cabernet Calistoga 2015, this really popped, with intense floral aromas to blend with the currant and cherry notes. Backed with solid acidity, this has a vibrant energy to it.

September 18, 2022 - Been a couple years since my last bottle.
Wow. Shorter decant this time around. This is just amazing wine. Dark and brooding.
Rich, vibrant nose. Loads of dark fruit still present.
Tastes like the nose. Well balanced with noticeable acidity. Lucious and smooth. Longish finish. Unctuous. Charred oak, dark fruit, cigar box. Bacon fat. Just delicious wine. Case worthy cellar defender for sure.

Steaks by me, and twice baked potatos by Britt.

August 2, 2021 - Consistent with prior notes, but maybe some mellowing starting to occur. Still no rush on this though.

April 25, 2021 - Pnp. Tart blueberry and cherry. Gorgeous silky texture. To me this is in a bit of awkward phase. The oak is integrated and the fruit has faded some.

April 8, 2021 - One hour splash decant.
Cranberries and cherries, herbal seasonings, hints of black tea, leather and smoke. Medium-plus body, good length, good ammount of aciditiy. Overall impression is cool-climate, more Bdx-like than Californian. At the moment a tad reticent, certainly not extracted or hedonistic.
I suppose some extra cellartime will add depth, body and complexity. Promising.

March 27, 2021 - Tremendous wine, and a top-3 standout among 9 other bottles tasted. Dark cherry, dark chocolate and a little minerality there too. As usual, if you can't decide between a bordeaux offering and its California equivalent, Washington splits the difference (though this one leans more France than CA). A great wine from a great winery.
