November 3, 2019 - This wine is holding up well, but is a little past its prime. Still bright in color with bright fruit. Nice soft style.

December 24, 2011 - After opening this bottle, I realized that this was the same wine that I drank on Christmas last year. Fickle pinot...while still probably past its prime, the wine is drinking better this year than last. Lots of leather and tobacco notes with some dark cherry hints.

December 25, 2010 - A bit past its prime. Great nose, and the forward fruit was good. Lacked a back palette. The wine was not flawed, just cellared too long.

September 23, 2009 - Eight years old and going strong. Not great, but very good. Short finish, but a good nose. A palate of strawberries and red fruit. Should have another 5 years.

March 9, 2008 - Deep purple in the glass, heavy black fruit and crushed flowers on the nose, you could smell it as it was being poured. Palate was a velvety, dark-fruited blast. Rather one-dimensional but the bold fruit flavor was very nice and had a lingering finish and was not too sweet. No real secondary characteristics but an enjoyable bottle. I would not estimate that this has a lot of improving to do at this point. Drink up!

April 23, 2007 - Perfumed style pinot. Almost overextracted and sweet without any acid, tannin, earthiness to balance. Enjoyable and different, but primarily memorable because of its perfume quality. This vineyard probably doesn;t have the ageability of some of its breathren.

May 24, 2003 - Memorial Day Weekend in Willamette; 5/24/2003-5/26/2003 (Willamette Valley OR): Tasting at winery. Floral nose with some interesting red fruit as well. Fruit on palate is accessible and charming, albeit somewhat simple. Tannins seem to shorten the fruit's prominance, so I'd give this a couple of years to integrate. Hopefully the fruit will pick up weight.
