    January 13, 2024 - 41% Cabernet Franc, 36% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 23% Merlot.

Blackcurrant. Red fruits. Earth. Touch of cedar.

    Delicious.

December 17, 2023 - First bottle tasted a couple months ago after being shipped from storage. Felt quite mute and under wraps at the time; not expressive. I put it down to being shipped recently an only an hour decsnt.

Last night did a 3 hour decant and felt the cedar and peppercorn come out much more noticeably. Tannins were quite silky and well behaved. Medium to full bodied and with good amount of baking spice and earthy tones/tobacco. While acidic the fruit - black cherry and mulberries felt secondary and in the offing. Curious to see how this develops in coming years as spice tones down

November 28, 2023 - decanted for 4 hrs and it started to transform to an amazing gem, with plenty of freshness, aromas and tastes of fruits, cigar and wood. good finishing with slight sweetness. i think this 16 does resemble the grand vin with its grape composition, while the 18 PF is more like a medoc, yet still delicious. this second wine outperforms a lot of other grand vins.

March 2, 2023 - A unique wine that confused me into thinking it was a Cabernet. Showing the herbaceous side of wine, with hints of peppercorn and cedar. Had me thinking Pauillac or maybe a young St. Julien. How wrong I was...Feels young with good energy. Ready to drink but can hold and probably improve a couple of notches depending on your profile preference for Bordeaux. Drink or Hold

October 21, 2022 - Really good effort here, nice heat and structure, but lacks depth and weight as compared to the gran vin! Now some will say that's not fair, which is absolutely true, but from a QPR perspective, $68 is a bit hefty for what you get. It's delicious, smooth and has nice fruit and some complexity, just saying there are better options for less out there IMHO. For the same money, Alter Ego de Palmer offers more depth and complexity, and is quite reminiscent of the Gran Vin, not an Echo of it. Now having said this, I may decide to buy more if the '19 isn't as good as this one. Already bought a case of that and the '18.
