April 7, 2024 - Medium high intensity with the alcohol well hidden, lavender, some leather and earthy tones, forward primary fruit like cherries. Flavours profile is just ripe and lively with red fruits like cherries, medium acidity accompanies the fruit. On the mid palate, dark plums, vanilla and chocolate shows when it has opened up, full bodied, tannins are big but smooth and not rough, alcohol is noticeable but much fruit flavours left at the finish compensates its burning sensation. Good wine.

January 12, 2024 - Delicious wine, but like the 18 that I tried last year, I don't quite see the QPR here (sad as I like to think of myself as a Mouiex Fan!).

I liked the earthy "funk" (as a Northern Rhone nut), and hope that the wine requires some additional time to become more elegant and complex.

Will save my remaining bottle for it's 10th birthday to see how it progresses. It may be in a weird stage right now.

January 3, 2024 - Still too young to drink for my palette. High acidity and 2 hours of decanting were nothing for this youthful beauty. Peppery smell and fruit forward.

November 12, 2023 - Dark red; lots of fruit in the nose, roses; nice rich attack with a bold rounded middle, well-balanced, no jamminess, perhaps lacking a bit in the aftertaste, but all in all very nice

April 14, 2023 - Dark red; really nice intense deep nose, nice sweet dark fruit, blackberry or blackcurrant or both (?); soft rounded attack, intense middle where licorice comes to mind and acidity kicks in, a slightly tart aftertaste but not much; I really like it, some others in the party found it a bit mellow - not sure I agree

November 5, 2022 - Second wine from Dominus Estate in Napa. Owned by Christian Mouiex, who also owns Petrus, Trotanoy, Hosanna. Mainly Cab Sauv with some Petit Verdot an Cab Franc. Lavender and ceddar in the nose. Very structured and smooth. Good wine, but maybe not quite what you would expect for this price.

October 9, 2022 - Some good fruit on nose, some bell pepper not too much. I don’t like the structure though. Low acid and tannins don’t match up with the alcohol. It’s not bad but not a 70-80$ bottle. Disappointed

July 26, 2022 - Earthy, dark fruits, a little dense on the palate. Slight bitterness toward the end. Alc in check.
