    January 1, 2020 - Sound wine with a long life ahead of it. Still quite closed although really nice fruit and great wine structure

    December 9, 2019 - I have guzzled down a few pallets of this wine over the years and the 2015 is one of the best. The color is dark red with red/black core. Nose shows masses of cassis, toasty oak and a touch of spice and the palate is rich, well balanced and long with the fruit and oak balanced by good acidity. There is some forest floor and mint but all in balance with the dark fruits. It will last for a decade or two though it is inviting to drink now. At current prices this wine is a bargain and a great display of the Coonawarra style.

    July 17, 2019 - This is possibly the greatest Wynns Black Label ever. Very smart investments in the vineyard and cellar have been showing in recent years but this vintage nature also provided a bit of magic.

    Balance... that's the difference. It's produced a wine of greater charm than usual. It drinks remarkably well now and will sail on for decades. In this regard it reminds me somewhat of 1985 in Bordeaux.

    {13.5%, screwcap}

    June 1, 2019 - On opening, the wine was reticent with red fruits and violets. I decanted it and noted that it is black/red, with an opaque rim, not the really dark of some Australian cabs. The nose started to develop (it was probably too cold initially) to reveal dark fruit (plums, cassis) and chocolate/mocha notes.
    The palate is very well balanced, with good dark and red fruit, some well integrated oak and acid. It is medium bodied, not a brooding monster, and drank well at only 4 yrs of age. I was expecting more density and tannins, but this is a fine wine that will age well, but can be drunk now.
