December 27, 2022 - Winner Winner Brunello for Dinner. I always love an aged Brunello and this 2001 does not disappoint. Improves well upon decanting. Black luscious dark cherry with earthy tones.

July 10, 2018 - Full bodied, classic brunello. Decanted about an hour before dinner (pappardelle ragu); a little brick color around the edge of the glass; nose lighter than I expected but very full mouth feel; mild tannins and flavors of black cherry, mushroom and forest. Perfect match for the meal!

July 15, 2016 - I think this wine is getting better. Classic Brunello notes, good backbone to pair with food (in my case, spaghetti with meat sauce and Asian stir fry with lots of garlic).

March 25, 2015 - Noticed the dried black cherry the first night, which was pleasant. Still lots of black tea and leather, but enjoyed this bottle more with the fruit noticeable. Paired nicely with Pasta e Fagioli the first night, and chicken enchiladas the second night.

February 28, 2015 - Delightful mature old World Brunello
