March 16, 2024 - Incredible nose with complex notes of citrus, a hint of bread, sourdough, a slight hint of mint, and lemon. Great acidity on the palate with lemon, minerals, chamomile, and brioche flavors. Long finish. Wow, this was a fantastic wine. Just a complete Champagne to me, it's complex, bright, and engaging.
March 7, 2024 - Torsdagsklubben: Fransk boksmat: Blind. Veldig godt grep, fine små bobler, intens og lang vin, mineralsk/kalkaktig. På et veldig godt punkt nå. Deg April 2019.
February 27, 2024 - Lemon, red apple, herbs, a little reduction on the nose. Deep penetrating palate, more apple, lemon, kind of saline on the long finish. Very foamy, longggg finish. Tingly. Very very good. Perhaps under-rated. Update: by the end of dinner this was even better. More vibrant, a little more complexity, with more balanced fruit/herbs/salinity. Upgrading to 94.
February 27, 2024 - Dinner with the wine group (Sole Ristorante, San Mateo): 100% Pinot noir. Wonderfully aromatic nose with a hint of strawberry, lemon-lime, still with good richness as well, well balanced; long finish. This is excellent champagne. 92+
Even better at the end of dinner. Superb balance, exceptional champagne. 93
October 20, 2023 - semiblind, side by side with Krug 171eme
Surprisingly in nose and palate not that far away from each other. I "hoped" to taste the lower pressure in the CB but it was not possible. Red currant, yuzu and saline. 93
June 16, 2023 - fresh, fine mousse, honey, apricot, perhaps just a bit sweet for my taste but this who shared this magnum all raved. i feel this delivered nicely.
November 19, 2022 - blind
Elegant, fine bubbles, missing a bit length. Good concentration. Lemon with some red currant. 92-93
October 22, 2022 - Brought to Addison. Definitely don't serve this too cold or it will lose some of the wonderful nuance. Can't do better than Nostrabacchus' note, but I would say this has less leesy flavor than Cote de Bechalin but noticeably more complexity than val Vilaine. Fresh, full of tension, and just perfectly integrated from top to bottom. Don't know that I would pay $400 for this (seems to be the going rate these days), but spectacular at the $100 I paid back in the day.
April 23, 2022 - not blind
An elegant PN from the Aube, less pressure as always with Cedric's champagnes. Some blackcurrant, lime and saline. I prefer his haute lemble, but his best PN wine. 94
December 28, 2021 - An intense wine with loads of citrussy fruit following through on the palate from start to finish. The low effervesence lets the grapes shine in this wine. Best not serve this too cold.
