October 8, 2023 - wine is still young and fresh. Beautiful wine. Too bad she has sold her wines. I think this bottle was better than my previous 2

August 27, 2023 - Very nice to try this wine at 7 years old with some age under its belt. Beautiful golden colour, but not at all oxidised on the palate. Full and rich and a great pairing with the seafood dishes we enjoyed that evening.

June 25, 2023 - Golden color, high level of viscosity but still decent acidity. Tropical fruit notes, mango, pineapple, papaya. The last of my pre Merry’s retirement bottles of sauvignon blanc

May 5, 2023 - No formal note taken, was enjoyed alongside a 2019 ME Sauv Blanc. This was showing it's age as along with tropical fruit notes - mango and pineapple there were slight musty melon notes. Still had a solid acidic back-bone and nice length. At peak, or slightly past - Drink now.

November 23, 2022 - This bottle (a portion of which was using for cooking our Thanksgiving day dinner), was still in very good shape, would suggest another year or two in its prime. That said, it seemed a bit more tart than some of the other vintages we've had over the years. Maybe the acid this year was just a touch higher than usual? In any case, still very good. Suggesting 2024 end-date.

April 16, 2022 - Wonderfully creamy mouth feel followed by a phenolic/tannic after taste that match match beautifully. Well worth the wait.

January 10, 2022 - I haven't been the biggest fan of Edwards PN, finding them a bit ripe and a lot expensive. Also, I thought they were a little more style over place. This SB is very ripe. It's also 5+ years old and drinking incredibly fresh. There are a lot of tropical fruits here, with medium acidity. It works, because it's so damn delicious. I'm sure fans of her wines would say the same about the PN. I don't think I would be willing to pay for whatever price it commands, but it is a lot more fun and delicious then pretty much every other Cali SB I have tried.

December 23, 2021 - Still my favorite domestic SB. As before, plenty of fruit and balance. The age is showing but its complimentary. I expect this to be great for a bit longer.
