Community Tasting Notes 5

May 12, 2021 - This is my last bottle. Really deep gold color now, which is a change. The nose is a bit more muted than what I recall, with some pear and almond notes. On the palate, its mellow pear, with more almond, a bit of apple, and more minerality. This has been a decent wine for me. I bought 4 on release and opened one yearly for 4 years. Interesting change of body, color, and flavor over each year. This remains a solid food wine and decent QPR at $22.

July 27, 2020 - Grown in the 400m high hills in Campania; fermented in Stainless Steel and aged on its lees for two months.

Medium lemon (from skins); Medium+ complex aromas of acacia, honeysuckle, jasmine, lemon zest, nectarine, pineapple, yogurt, and stale beer. The few years of bottle age have provided some tertiary notes of dried banana chips, dried pear, orange peel, and hazelnut. Dry, with a slight viscosity from the grape skins, this higher acid white shows zesty minerality and bitter pistachios on a medium+ length, lively finish. The best example of Fiano I have found. VERY GOOD

August 3, 2019 - With aromas of pineapple and resin. Full bodied, fruit and bright acidity. Mouthfeel has tangy acidity and rich flavors.

August 12, 2018 - This is a nice wine. Apple pear and a mineral note on the nose. A nice balanced taste with those same notes on the palate. Medium body, medium finish. This is an ageworthy selection.
