February 16, 2024 - This bottle is ready to drink. Its inviting sweet cherry, cola, cinnamon, and touch of vanilla won’t be around all that much longer. Easy drinking and typical of Brian’s Pinots. If you like his wines, this one is in a sweet spot. Almost no sediment; just some slight, fine grains. 14.3% alc. With leftover, homemade pizza (pepperoni and veggie). 02.16.24. Recommended.

May 28, 2023 - Loring purple in color. Bright fruit of black cherry and orange zest with Asian 5 spice and vanilla. This wine will go the distance if the fruit will hold. The tannins are big. Probably best to hold for a couple of years to allow it to mellow out. But then, Brian says, “Drink ‘em young!” Some small grains of sediment. 14.3% alc. With leftover boneless pork chops with ancho chili and cocoa rub. May 28, 2023. Recommended.

February 14, 2023 - Served with Valentine's meal with my sweetie. Salmon, sweet potato, roasted eggplant, salad and chocolate. Opened and poured. Dark wine. Legs a plenty. Fruity aroma. More blue than red fruits. Balanced. Minimal tannins. Happy to know there is more in the cellar.

August 1, 2022 - This is excellent. Big black fruit profile, well integrated oak with soft tannins. A pleasure to drink and in a good spot.

June 13, 2022 - Leans toward purple over red. Tons of black fruit. Tannins are stout initially, but mellowed well after a couple of hours decant. A touch of acidity, but mostly this is about the fruit and the oak.

4/11/2023 Raspberries a-plenty this time, a little huckleberry or boysenberry, too. The oak really pops initially, but by the second day it had taken its rightful place and everything was much more balanced.
