January 15, 2010 - Enjoyed this bottle a great deal. Served with pasta with a spicy pepper and sweet Italian sausage roma red sauce. Nice balance in the fruit and tannins with a very smooth finish. Will look for more

September 22, 2009 - I didn't care for this. I was nonplussed. There is a type of tartness indicative of slight over-ageing. Average (78.5).

May 17, 2009 - Opens up pretty simple and a bit light. Opens after a very short time in the glass - gains more depth and complexity and becomes more recognizable as a Sangiovese. Nice mouthfeel and fairly soft on the finish. This richness fades fairly quickly though. Excellent wine at the price ($9), it would be a good house wine for those having any left.

January 16, 2009 - Much better, and significantly different than the last bottles.

October 30, 2008 - I reiterate my previous thoughts, This is a great party wine. I received a lot of positive comments from people who do not usually comment on wine. I will be leaning on friends to bring a case from Alberta. It is $14.99 a bottle here now ( BC ) and I am getting really pissed by how much more we pay for wine than just about everybody else.

    October 20, 2008 - I think this wine is a great value.
Dark black cherries, currents with an earthiness and body that belays it's price. The finish is weak but the aftertaste holds nicely and balances the "young" flavours of the start.
a minimum30min of air helps ease the youth.
I believed this wine would really come together with a couple of years but I had a bottle tonight and do not taste any more maturity from 8 months ago. If anything, the finish seems to have diminished.
This is a wine to have with a bunch of friends over a red meat or full flovored pasta dish and just have fun. At $8, I believe this wine is a steal but don't hope for any more than what you taste now.

October 13, 2008 - Bottle now fading into the simple and inoffensive. Not a bad pasta wine, but past its relatively short peak on release. Hard to see Parker's 90 point rating and 3 year lifespan at this point.
