April 27, 2022 - Drank against Dujac village CM 2012. A little more rustic than I expected. A lot of fruit. Nice to drink but could have been a little softer.

February 19, 2019 - I think most of the table had this a notch ahead of the 1995. I had it a notch behind, but it's still magnificent. Clearly made of the same material, but this is still showing the residue of its oak toast in an almost tarry fashion and also starts out more solidly tannic. With a bit of air it composes itself and the texture approaches the tenderness of the '95. It's still a few years behind in development and thus isn't quite so ethereal, but it probably also had a bit more structure and stuffing to begin with.

December 18, 2016 - Really nice but very subtle.

February 27, 2016 - Served blind, I liked this wine but it didn't bowl me over. Struck me as too young, quite tight, and will probably be superb in 10 years or so.

June 7, 2015 - I went back to this as I didn't think I was in the right place to enjoy it properly the other night. While this is certainly more stern than the 2000, the nose is nicely perfumed and you get that burst of rhubarb cassis cedar on the palate that I am coming to associate with Rouget. I wish the finish was a bit longer, but other than that, this wine is lovely.
