December 28, 2017 - all the drink up now reviews were wrong (usually the case with an old world wine from ageworthy region). this needed more time.

June 14, 2015 - Garnet with orange rim. Nose was of the roasted meat variety. taste was of an aged Syrah/Cote Rotie. Very good show from an unknown-to me-producer.

August 19, 2012 - Muddled nose of subtle red and black fruit, tobacco and oak. There is only a slight hint of blackberry fruit on the palate with some secondary characteristics of coffee and chocolate. The flavors are subtle with a fairly smooth relaxed tannic structure and a modicum of acidity. For where it's at, it is balanced, but not showing much overall. Definitely drink this up now.

December 13, 2009 - TN: Huet, SQN, Spotteswood, ZH, Ussegglio, HL, Cos, Borgogno and lots more: A nose that is earthy with black raspberries and licorice. Nice attack but hin on the id palate. Bitter cherries on the palate. Past prime. Clipped finish. Not bad, but I would have thought more from the vintage.

June 30, 2008 - Needed some time to open up - was quite funky when first opened, but was delicious with Duck Confit and robiola cheese. Heavy syrah flavor turning very interesting right now. Bright fruit are gone, but secondary flavors coming on strong.
