January 19, 2024 - Oregon Trip-Day 1 (Here and there, Willamette Valley): Toast and pineapple. Again quite rich entry but better acidity than the 2014. Excellent soil as well but slightly hollow mid-palate. A bit over the top and disjointed to me.

August 20, 2023 - Muted fruit with a prominent aroma of sulfur. Sure, we can gussy it up by calling it "gun flint" or "gun powder," but let's call it what it is. No real change with several hours of air. My friend dumped it after a couple of sniffs and a little taste as unpleasant. The texture and body are nice: full and materialist with good structure. I know "reduction" is the hot thing in white Burgundies, but drinking wine that smells like a stale fart is taking things too far.

January 10, 2023 - Dinner with Herwig (Heirloom Cafe, SF): Aromatic with reduction and some spice from oak, a bit hard to evaluate; palate is rich with high acidity, lemon zest; finish is medium length. There nose is a bit difficult but promising overall. Needs air. 90

November 15, 2022 - PNP followed over several hours. Some reduction. On the citrus, lemon green apple side of the spectrum, dense flavor, with lots of saline and some minerals. Medium body, medium+ acidity, mouthwatering really. Long finish. Very nice, made me want oysters.
