May 22, 2019 - Out of the bottle this still seems pretty young to me. Lots of sour cherry, form backbone. Well made wine but I can’t say I’m loving it at this moment. Will surely improve with time/air.

April 15, 2019 - This wine is in a great drinking window! Well balanced and integrated after one hour of air.

April 14, 2019 - Ready to drink wine. Fabulous wine with a spicy and licorice taste. Very enjoyable wine that we drank slowly over a two hour period

April 6, 2019 - From Coravin so did not get a decant. No matter, it was terrific. Lots of dark fruit on the attack - blackberries & blueberries mainly. Smooth on the mid palate with fine tannins present but well integrated, medium to long finish. I have better experiences of this wine, it was not as concentrated as I remembered, so maybe a long decant would have been in order, then again I got myself a second glass so I was far from unhappy with it.

March 22, 2019 - My, my... this lady has finally come of age. It has been at least 3-4 years since having this vintage of Cos. My prior tasting suggested that this Chateau did not get the most out of their wine in this outstanding millennial vintage. However, time in the cellar proves for a wine of this caliber, proper aging brings out greatness. The nose is rocking of black fruits, black licorice, and all things St. Estephe. Iron, touch of blood, currant, and Asian spice. Combine the nose with the finish and you have a complete wine. Dare I say, an intimate experience with a bottle of wine. Goes to show judging a wine before it is ready is a mistake. Love it!

(Cos d'Estournel) Cocoa, raspberry liquor and complex mineral tones on the nose. Lush and glyceril with dense, silky primary fruit. Black fruits with a red streak. Pretty elegant and does a little mambo on the palate. Super concentrated but done in a kind of "spoofilated" new-world style. Very different and less traditional than the '95 Cos the other week. I still liked it
