October 7, 2023 - Actually getting better.
August 10, 2023 - After 15 minutes open it is mainly Smokey meat. With green and Bret. I think of salami and it is a dead hit. No fruit on nose or palette. Seems off and funky….
A little more fruit on pallet after another 15 minutes The salami and Brett are gone. Now red fruit and Sandlewood.
This really needs time. At first I did not like it but kept going back because it was interesting. But after about 45 minutes, it’s very good.
No rush on other bottles
June 23, 2023 - Epic
October 27, 2022 - still plenty of fruit and tanins. very pleasant and unpretentious, good with a meal.
July 30, 2022 - Solid but on thinner, higher acid side. More trsditional. Mild funk adds interest. Good with food but not the style of wine that's great alone. From a Magnum.
February 20, 2022 - Very nice Bordeaux, especially for the ~$15 price. Requires an hour or more to open up; but, as in so many things, patience is a virtue. The acidity that is so prominent when first opened recedes and is in better balance with the fruit, spice, and mineral tastes. Finish is a little bit short and doesn't carry the fruit tastes with it.
Because of the early predominance of the wine, it's certainly not a Pop and Pour, but goes well with food. Enjoyed with steak, basmati rice, roast carrots and salad.
January 27, 2022 - great bordeaux
January 24, 2022 - Best the day opened
April 24, 2021 - Solid showing with plenty of acidity for food, a touch too dry to drink alone.
April 10, 2021 - maybe higher, going to drink further or open another --- downright spritzy and sweetish, but classy balance and long finish
which is to convey little, so more tk w different foods
