February 20, 2024 - Beautiful merlot-dominant blend from FM. Cassis and raspberry, saddle leather, mocha and dark chocolate, stones and pencil lead. Minerals, more mocha and spices on the finish. Fine, but solid tannins hold this wine firmly together. I will develop a few more years and then maintain deliciousness for another decade. Enjoy!

December 3, 2023 - Delicious, savory, Merlot-dominated, "Right Bank" blend from Force Majeure. Dark cherry and cassis fruits with graphite, cedar pencil, flank steak, dark chocolate and a strong, iron-y mineral streak. The tannins are firm but turning silky and sweet with a finish that goes on for 1 minute plus. Not your typical soft merlot though as the hefty dose of Cab Franc gives this wine a bit of an edge. Really nice with at least 15 years of life left in it.

June 3, 2023 - Lipsmacking, teeth-coating deliciousness. Dark chocolate-covered cherries with some plum notes for good measure. Mocha, dark chocolate, coffee, minerals and dust. Still brooding, it needed 2-3 hours of decant before it really started to sing. I think it can use another 2-4 years of bottle age before everything knits together and, when it does, it's going to be spectacular. It has the bones to last another 20 years.

May 5, 2023 - Nice depth of flavor, classic mountain merlot dark cherries and dark, dried fruit tones, but without any jammyness or sap.

December 10, 2022 - Another fantastic Force Majeure, a real depth of aromas and flavors from nose to finish, a beautiful wine.
