August 5, 2023 - Very dissapointint given the brand and price. Just nothing CA Pinot. Borderline undrinkable
January 20, 2022 - Decanted for 45 minutes. Red fruit, cherry cola, medium body and tannins.
March 24, 2021 - About 18 months since my prior bottle, and this has settled in nicely. It’s still a little too strawberry/watermelon for my taste (a common issue for me with Anderson Valley Pinot Noir), but the balance is on point, and it has a long, deep finish. If the fruit profile is more your style then it could be outstanding. Just not quite my thing.
February 14, 2021 - Decanted for 3 hours. Reddish, vibrant color. Beautiful nose of pomegranate and red fruits. Silky, light with good acidity and medium tannin. Not too complex but enjoyable with pleasing finish.
February 8, 2021 - PnP. Uncovered this lurking in the cellar. Medium light red. Lovely red fruits and citrus on the nose. Medium weight on the palate with good depth of flavor and resolved tannins. Very good appelation wine.
October 17, 2020 - I was cautioned that this might need some time so I decanted it for about 1.5-2 hours. It was excellent. Very balanced. Not overly fruity. Light on the tannins. It was consumed over a 3 hour period and continued to open up.
July 13, 2019 - I opened a bottle of this a year or so ago, and it was too unfocused and rather grapey. Tonight’s bottle had knit together, and settled down, allowing some glimpse of the structure, which gave the wine a much better balance. Dark red fruit, hints of cinnamon and licorice, with fresh acidity, and a long finish that highlighted the spice. Nicely done.
June 29, 2019 - Coravin over several weeks.
March 18, 2019 - PnP. Medium red. Forward nose of pomegranate, red apple, and strawberry. Medium light on the palate but with nice complexity on the finish. Ready. Interesting contrast to the 17 tasted at the winery last weekend which had a lot more depth and tannins,
October 8, 2018 - Seems fairly pedestrian for a Littorai, but it could just be that it’s super young. Squeaky clean, bold cherry/raspberry fruit that screams CA warmth, with a dusting of loam and mushroom. Modest minerals and tannins. A nice enough wine, but Just seems lacking in complexity and propulsion... especially at the price.
