May 14, 2023 - Some sweetness om the palate, but compensated by the tannins. Well balanced wine.

March 10, 2022 - I rated this as neutral, only because I know it was reasonable in the past, in it's prime. However this tasted way past it's drinking window, just insipid.

September 16, 2021 - Really liked this bottle. It was one of 4 that I have left over from a case I bought a long while back. I remember being a little disappointed with the 2016 vintage in the past when I compared it to the stellar 2013 vintage. I'm not sure whether it was extra maturing time in the bottle or bottle variation, but this was delicious. Very nice right after PnP, no decant needed in my opinion. Very dark in the glass (as opposed to more inexpensive malbecs from Mendoza), very plush dark red fruit on the mid-palate, and with a very smooth finish. There was a glass left over for the following day, and it wasn't so great then though. I'll be drinking my remaining bottles before the end of this year.

June 19, 2021 - Celebrating the end of lockdown with chili crab
Still a very youthful purple black with lively characteristic Malbec pepper on the nose. Slightly stemmy but acidity and fruit are juuust starting to fade asymmetrically for which it loses points. Nonetheless still fairly well balanced and holds up well to the crab.
An unpretentious wine that punches above its weight. Very good value and worth buying again.
    Drink up.

August 18, 2020 - Meh. Not into Malbec or Argentinian wines at all. Somehow closed, as they always are. Not a lot of fruit. At the red end of the spectrum. Tannins and acid dominate their way into true sourness. Maybe I just decanted it too short. Or then it is just way too young. Not really happening, at least yet. Not offensive in any way, just a little closed. Which again could be due to me not decanting it enough.
