October 23, 2022 - Just about in the perfect place. A gorgeous perfume of rose petals and jube-like red fruits. It has some chocolate and earth too. It is layered and fleshy. Structural elements are relaxed and the finish is expansive and long.

April 10, 2022 - Delicious wine in a fine spot. Tertiary notes of saddle leather with red cherry fruit. Shoe polish on night one dissipates away on the second. A really quintessential example of this region. All class.

April 9, 2022 - 5years from my last bottle. Splash decanted. Really needed some air. Aromatic note with red fruits tar and mild spice notes. Palate is a mix of tar, tea leaves, and bright red fruit as it seems to be moving to a more mature state--but still has plenty of fruit to match the rather considerable but polished tannins. Lengthy finish. Comes across as rather elegant refined Barbaresco but still has the power of Nebbiolo.

November 14, 2020 - White Truffles & Nebbiolo: 99/00 SS & 00 Asili Riserva Flight. This is deliciously in peak form and surprisingly a near equal to the Asili Red label.

November 14, 2020 - Nebbiolos, white truffles, Volume V (Chicago, IL): #3033/14632. A bit of a shame to be unable to make a similar comparison between 1999 and 2000 (as with the Barolo Falletto) since the 1999 was cooked, but this was surprisingly much weaker than the Barolo Falletto of the same vintage. First off there was a bit of volatile acidity on the nose, with a pronounced hit of acidity overall in this wine. There isn't the same plush fruit character either, so this feels angular on the palate.
