May 4, 2023 - Decanted in a carafe to separate it from the depot and returned to the bottle. Drank after 2-3 hours. Beautifully developed tertiairy aromas giving a highly fragrant bouquet of sweet flowers, powerful cedar wood and tobacco, so elegant still and light footed given its age. Very much in its drinking window still. Unforgettable wine.

September 18, 2022 - Winefield's pre sale tasting: as Frank Jacobs explained the level was appr. 10 centimeters below the cork, the wine however still showed a friendly sweetnes as well as an acceptable oxidative impression; still drinkable.

June 8, 2018 - Blind wine has a semi rustic nose with a lot of sweet red cherry in it. Ripe red berry with earth and leather influence, but mostly youthful. Firmly secondary in terms of development, nothing tertiary. Palate is quite ripe up front and has nice soily texture. Getting fresher and fresher. Palate is structured and the tannins are big but integrated. Would have guessed Burgundy, ‘89 or ‘85.
