August 10, 2022 - Tart red cherry, tannic grip and a touch of bitter bite.
At an awkward place right now I think- probably needs time to settle down. Recheck after 2027.

April 13, 2021 - This showed very nicely; definitely shows the cool aspect of Combottes with some restrained red fruit notes, distinct minerally earth notes, a hint of spice and floral scents. The palate has some structure that tightens it up a bit, but there is definitely plenty of fruit to buffer it. Very good now, should be better in 10 years once the structure has softened a bit.

July 22, 2018 - Loads of potential. Held its own alongside a DRC Echezeaux from 2008. It was a long night, and I don't have detailed notes, but this was good from the start and amazing after a couple of hours. This has real polish and finesse in the wine-making, I've always found his cheaper wines on the charmingly rustic side. Hold to 2022.
