June 9, 2019 - Why is it that South American cabernet sauvignons so often have so little tannins? I was hoping that this one from the famous Catena family of winemakers would make a difference. But how spicy or bold or fruit driven this wine may be, as it still lacks one of the main characteristics of the grape that it is made of, I simply cannot like it.

April 12, 2019 - Theme was Chile or Argentina. There were 5 Catena wines on the table, all were quite impressive. This was a dark, brooding Cab that needed time to open up. After some air, sweet nose, big, complex palate. Tons of dark fruit. Probably drank too young.

October 13, 2018 - Winewankers BYO - Blind; 10/13/2018-10/14/2018 (Caranord Bodø): Nose with blackcurrant, flowers and perfume. Some earthly tones on the palate. Hints of mint. Harmonious and spicy. Peppery.

April 13, 2018 - Solid, surprisingly good for South American cab. Previous vintages were better
