    nose - burnt sugar, liqueresque
mouth - rich and aged, hints of whisky but nevermind that as the riproaring acidity is here to smash your face. unique in its ability to simultaneously be advanced and fresh. How does he do that??

March 9, 2024 - Feb 2016 disgorgement. Stellar. Excellent depth. Lovey seam of acidity to balance the weight. Grows more complex in the glass over 30/40 minutes. To my taste these are at peak balance between fruit, age, and acidity.

January 2, 2024 - Beau cadeau reçu d'un bon fournisseur, merci Didier!
    Super vineux et bien vif.
Des notes de brioches, de salin, de citrons
    et de coing.
Long et bien vivifiant, j'ai adoré!

December 23, 2023 - Nose: banoffee, fig, balsamic, dark chocolate, ripe pear, nuts, grappa, chestnut
Notes: disgorged in 2018. The clean and distinctive minerality coupled with the signature oxidative nose simply shows how precise this Domaine can be when presenting their wines. A really bone dry palate followed by this amount of intensity without a full body is somewhat quite contradictory and amazing at the same time, this wine is far from big or round and if anything it's quite lean. Although this may not be my favorite Selosse cuvee but I surely am able to appreciate this style and love every single sip of it. A couple more years will make this even better.

November 7, 2023 - (Disgorged 1/19)- Always my favorite of the Lieux-Dits and without question one of the very best Blanc de Blancs Champagnes on the planet, it’s stunning tonight, rich, powerful and intense with crazy depth to its layers, unfurling in a Burgundy glass to reveal its complex core of rich orchard fruit, roasted nuts, gun smoke, old rum barrels and candied white flowers, all with seamless integration and balance. The palate is generous and detailed, with racy acids, waves of saline laced chalky Le Mesnil minerals and a finish that just keeps going. For me, the BdB benchmark.

October 29, 2023 - Bourgogne visit 29/10-1/11-2023: Outstanding. For some reason no disgorgement date indicated on the bottle (the field was empty). Typical oxidative style from Selosse which I love so much when it works. You never quite know with Selosse, but this bottle was perfect. Notes of bread dough, lemon, overripe apple, toffee, nutty. High acidity, delicate mousse and long finish. Wow 96+

May 12, 2023 - purchased at Au Fils du Zinc in Chablis; dark golden in color with a classic Selosse oxidative nose; honeyed floral notes, bruised apple, some peach blossom, a bit of roasted almond; the nose is very complex and keeps you coming back to the glass; feels cerebral to me, but in a good way; the palate is somewhat cerebral also, but is also incredibly pleasurable; such a silky feel with very tiny bubbles; rich and vinous with a lovely concentration of honeyed apricot and red apple; the finish is like cashmere and leaves a lingering note of almond and honey. I was unable to find a disgorgement on this bottle so no idea when its from. It was an incredible bottle though.
