April 23, 2013 - Way past its time. Acid in front and acid on the finish, and some very distant hints of fruit in between, otherwise undrinkable. Not a corked bottle, just one of burgundy's bad vintages and 5 or 6 years too long in the bottle - doomed from the start.

November 20, 2010 - The woods are lovely, dark and deep. I don't drink enough Vosne wine and it's such a pleasure when you encounter a good one, even a villages, because it speaks so much to the terroir. This one has a heady, rich perfume, bosky and full of dark promises, sort of like an adolescent's first whiff of a mature woman-what forbidden secrets await? There's something sexy and dirty here, a funk that you realize isn't altogether wholesome but drives you deeper nonetheless. A little sandalwood or patchouli, with fruit that suggest pomegranates and seductions of the Orient. This isn't a great wine per se but it's like the first in a succession of belly dancers before they bring the star out who mesmerizes you and makes you want to throw your whole life away in pursuit of her.

October 18, 2006 - Heady nose of ripe black fruits. Medium to full bodied, very structured palate. Complex and concentrated with medium tannins and solid acidity. This will reward.
