November 1, 2022 - Simple and straightforward. Could use a bit more acidity, came off muddled and flat. From magnum, one hour decant.

October 17, 2021 - Holding up fine; still a lovely wine, well balanced and easy drinking. But no tasting room at Halter Ranch this time, so one point is deducted from the score.

May 5, 2021 - Soft and round. Well integrated silky tannins. Very easy drinking. Seems these Halter Ranch Cabs are built to drink sooner than later.

February 15, 2019 - Dark garnet in color, opaque, dull; amazing nose with aromas of blackberry, cigar smoke, cocoa, and a little Adelaida earthiness; blackberry and plum on the palate that leads into a long, tart finish; medium(+) body, medium acidity, medium tannins. This Cab from Paso Robles has an amz8ng complex nose and a good finish, but I thought it lacked a little something in the mid-palate that would have made it a great wine.

October 19, 2018 - APPEARANCE: Nice, dark red color
AROMA: Noticeable traces of graphite with hints of currant on the nose
TASTE: Big tannins and ripe red fruit, leaning towards raspberries. Paired nicely with sausage and pepper wood-fired pizza
