February 22, 2022 - This was a "curiosity" purchase from the closing sale of Southern Season where it was marked down to $15. Well it certainly way overdelivers at this price, and probably even if it cost twice as much. Served in a Grassl Liberté glass, which really highlights the pretty peach and floral aromas, overlaid with a piercing minerality. Has an unctuous yet saline mouthfeel, almost like a really good Muscadet sur lie. There are prominent grapefruit and lemon flavors, accented by some grassy notes and a leesy finish. This is quite nice, with the only minor fault being the back end, which feels a bit clipped.

January 21, 2021 - This wine made me very happy. It's just a pleasure to drink -- full-bodied, moderate acidity, no off notes, slightly herbal flavors with a strong element of almond.

January 11, 2020 - Leesy nose of pear, hay, and pineapple. Unctuous and mouth-filling, with floral, green apple and stone fruit notes with a crisp, dry mineral finish. This is a lovely wine. My first Massican, a producer I will now be seeking out.

October 16, 2019 - This viscous and layered Italian blend is flat-out alive - and flat-out delicious. The flavors keep coming - pear, grapefruit, lemon - and they don’t stop. At the three-year mark, this has settled into a special place; not too acidic and not too viscous, it’s an incredible white wine - and an incredible value at about $30.

Light yellow, almost silver in color; medium in body; nose of lemon rind, grapefruit, and ocean air. Tastes of pear, green apple, orange peel, and lemongrass. This is luscious while still being energetic. Blend of 43% Tocai Friulano, 29% Ribolla Gialla, and 28% Chardonnay. 13.5% alcohol.

I'm not an expert in Italian white wines (nor on white wines, nor on wine - hey, this is CellarTracker... you get what you pay for!). Still, I know a tasty wine when I find one (as do most human beings), and this is such a wine. Drink in next year or two, and you’re in for a treat.

August 24, 2019 - Significant improvement from my first bottle about 9 months ago. This has gained weight and character while retaining freshness. Much more enjoyable and has lots of life left. Tastes like a riper version of an Italian white. Nice to have for a hot summer day in 2020...
