June 6, 2021 - Decanted for one hour. Nose of black raspberry, black plum, smoked meat, cocoa and spice. Ripe black fruit, smoked meat, vanilla, cocoa and soft tannins on the palate. Long finish with good depth. Full bodied. Served with grilled, marinated tuna steaks.

May 15, 2021 - The wine is ready and opened on pnp while served best at room temperature. A medium bodied Syrah with sweet red fruits. Beautiful finish and elegant in style. Went great with chocolate moose cake. Highly recommend to drink now or over the next three years.

March 4, 2021 - YPO forum (Joe's): Chosen to pair with Franklin Barbecue. Double decanted 5 hours before consuming. Not the biggest Syrah on the block, this great Alban emphasizes pepper rather than extreme fruit extraction. Very well balanced and beautiful today. Probably has another 5 years in its primary stage and the stuffing to evolve for another 10+ years thereafter. Looking forward to another bottle and magnum to try later.

March 2, 2021 - This is showing incredibly well right now. I popped and poured. With no air, black fruit and pepper jumps out of the glass. I mentioned in 2018 that it was hot, but the alcohol is now very well-integrated. Now, the black fruits palate is mouth-filling. The finish is more tannic and steely but there is no doubt you can enjoy this one now!
