December 9, 2023 - Opened an hour before poured. Consumed w chicken thighs in tarragon tomato sauce. Wine was well matched. Dark berry in the glass. nose and taste opened over the course of dinner.
August 29, 2023 - Medium ruby showing the first signs of bottle age at the rim, dark red plum, stewed strawberries, hints of oak but not overpowering. What seemed out of balance was the acid, which made the wine seem a bit thin. Good, but not my favorite CdP ever
June 2, 2023 - Decanted into back into bottle. First taste was good, at the last sip, noticed a telltale nose of VA. 2nd glass, sure enough. Partner brought a '18 Saint Cosme CdR that was excellent. This CdP was not so due to VA.
November 5, 2022 - PnD
Delicious getting some more.
March 16, 2021 - eher kräuterbetont und ledrig, als fruchtig, Mittlerer Körper, angenehme Säure, wenig Tannine, kurzer Abgang. nicht allzu komplex, aber netter Wein.
December 27, 2019 - Unexpectedly thin. Notes of leather, with overtones of pine. I'd expect more body from a 14.5% abv wine. Quite a pleasant drink notwithstanding, but lacking the depth and luxurious feel of a classic CNdP.
December 22, 2019 - Nice wine. Very dry as expected with leather overtones and deep cherry flavors. Finish continues for a while. Gave it
an hour to breathe. May need more time to really open.
December 21, 2019 - A light red. Decanted for 2hours. Maraschino cherry and strawberry on the palate. Weak nose. Enjoyable, but be careful what food you pair with it as would be easily overpowered by strong flavored food.
July 20, 2019 - No fruit, no balance, no nose
December 28, 2018 - Dark ruby in color. Decanted for 1.5-2hrs. Nose is wonderfully complex: Floral, lemon, dark fruit, vanilla. Silky texture on tongue. Rich in flavor but while remaining light on the tongue. Flavors of dark fruit, green pepper, leather. Dark fruit richness and oak lingers on tongue.
