November 28, 2022 - Big and bold. Well rounded with a tannic and peppery finish. Delightful and easy to drink. CellarTracker suggests it can age another 10 years. Might be too long as there was quite a bit of sediment after 9 years on its side in a cool dark basement. Recommended.
July 17, 2021 - A nose of dark fruits and some spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red blend, with black cherry, kirsch, licorice and spice on finish. www.winelx.com
February 3, 2021 - Dark fruit, earth, minerals.
November 25, 2020 - Leather, forest floor and baking spices. Blueberry, blackberry with a saline and minerality to it.
August 20, 2020 - Good. Lots of plumb and dark fruit
June 16, 2020 - “It’s chalky, earthy, fucking dirty ass wine.” - said with admiration from a friend.
Really surprised at how good this is, and drinking next to a 2015 William Cole Stonemaiden.
This wine has that forest floor funk Bordeaux smell, and has plenty of chocolate and fresh dark red cherry too.
Really reminding me of plenty of French Bordeaux blends. Drinking well above its price point.
The acidity is masterfully disguised, and the tannins are gentle in your mouth.
I want more! Rating it 93-95 given price point, vintage, and just how much everyone loves it.
