December 31, 2023 - braucht etwas Luft, es fehlt schon etwas die Kraft. Nase: reife Brombeere, Pflaume, Waldboden, etwas Tabak, Eukalyptus, etwas Unterholz. Mund: zurückhaltender als in Nase, schöne Frucht, schöne Süße und Säure. Kaum Tannin.
February 18, 2023 - Parfaitement à point.
Vin élégant, très délié qui n'a fait que gagner à l'aération.
November 29, 2019 - Out of magnum. Still quite a bit of dill from the oak present, along with a fair bit of tangy acidity. More leather and earth than fruit, which was surprising. The various components here weren't as balanced as I would have thought, but this was still good to drink with food.
June 22, 2019 - Light ruby, translucent at edges. Notes of figs, earth, leather. Lovely red fruit, velvety texture, tannins fully resolved. Fully mature and ready.

February 25, 2015 - Classic Rioja nose, showing signs of that American oak (dill note). Quite beautiful on the palate. Would have scored higher but kept getting a slightly rough note right at the end.
February 24, 2015 - Dinner at RPM Steak (RPM Steak - Chicago, IL): Another brilliant showing. A bit of dill on the nose with beautiful dried roses, some earth, and cherries. Textbook rioja aromas! The palate was airy and layered. Deep rose and cherry tones with beautiful earthy and brown sugar notes. Awesome wine.
February 24, 2015 - Dinner at RPM Steak (Chicago, IL): Just after popping the bottle, there it is, the scent of American oak. There's just a little bit of green herbal quality on the nose that is very alluring. The body is incredibly rich with ripe red cherry flavours, but at the same time, this is still slightly herbal. Super intense and rich, but sufficient acidity to keep things fresh. There is great power in this wine...
