March 22, 2024 - Solid super tuscan, 80% sangiovese, 20% cabernet. 14% alc. Opened to breathe for 6h. Long legs. Fragrant nose of cherries, vanilla, and fondant. On the palate, lots of black cherries, minerality, earthiness, graphite, touch of salinity, toothy tannins, and a cleansing acid finish. 92/93

March 17, 2024 - Dark ruby/purple in color. After a two hour decant I am not enjoying the nose. There is oak, acetone, and tobacco. Sangiovese, despite being 80% of the mix, is dominated by cab and oak notes. Really disjointed on palate. Blackfruit is nearly obscured by oak. There are acidity and tannins, but this is not my kind of wine.

December 17, 2023 - 30 minute decant. Nose of dark cherries, black tea, and notes of rosemary. Cedar-led palate with black cherry and dark chocolate riding over screaming acidity. Acidity rides through the finish with dark fruit, salinity, earth, red bell pepper, minerals, dried herbs, and oak. Hard to describe - it may have needed a longer decant.

October 12, 2023 - I have changed my opinion on this wine. Very dark purple color. Too much oak on the nose. Black fruit flavor, but not a harmonious wine. Potentially good, but disappointing now. Might be better down the road when oak dissipates.

May 19, 2023 - Decanted, which was a must. Looking forward to seeing how they develop, this was lovely.
