March 25, 2018 - oh man this was nice, dark core little browning as a nose that was singing from the getgo. complex sweet red and blackt fruit, a bit cold to start, but was a great drink to go with a grilled steak. last one unfortunately, but perfectly stored by me for its life. yum
July 24, 2016 - very little browning on the edges,mushrooms and dried cherries in the nose. nice fruit and tannin balance in the finish. Needs to be drunk, but very nice wine
November 22, 2015 - Lean, sharp and grippy - no fruit left, but utterly compelling
June 5, 2012 - This had gone too far. Savoury, meaty, and on another night I might have carried on, but the oxidation here was just too much
January 26, 2011 - Bursting with ripe raspberry fruit, and just a hint of earth and game, this was gorgeous and was just right with the boeuf bourgignon - second bottle just as good
May 31, 2010 - High and gamey on the nose, but the palate really lifted and this manages to be both mellow and energetic at the same time, ripe. deep and layered
May 6, 2010 - Hot and oxidative on the nose, but this gave way to a lovely warm gamey palate, quite light and short (especially when compared to yesterday's 96 Bousse d'Or), but very attractive
January 24, 2010 - Gamey fragrance, on the palate a lovely melange of smoke, meaty savoury fruit and undergrowth, lifted by a shaft of acidity - it's not as opulent or long as a grand Cote d'Or, but this is a lovely mature burgundy
September 23, 2009 - Picked up for a pretty harmless £13 a bottle all in, I wasn't quite sure what to expect, but this was really rather good. A nose tending to the secondary, and then an initially plump palate. With air, good crisp acidity emerged, bringing out a lovely savoury character. With roast chicken this was a perfect accompaniment, and a wine with a really good future. A proper wine with a lot to offer. Beats me when people say Burgundy is too expensive!
November 1, 2008 - Le producteur disait qu'il fallait être patient, que son vin était conçu pour durer. Enfin, ce vin ce livre, avec une étonnante grande fraîcheur, sapide, encore du fruit rouge, belle ampleur, sphérique et gourmand. Délicieux.
