January 4, 2019 - Swampy, OTH. Fed it to the camellias.
May 9, 2017 - Black fruit is nicely mature, still slightly tannic. Good concentration and weight, but not perfectly balanced.
October 27, 2016 - Smells and tastes old and oxidized. Will see if some air helps.
September 12, 2016 - Totally corked
September 20, 2015 - Bottle was a little oxidized and became more so quickly.
October 6, 2014 - Still drinking very well. Tasty juice.
July 9, 2011 - Dark. Big wine. More like a Cali pinot. Ripe, rich with some earth. Sweet finish. 14% etoh.
September 12, 2008 - Nose: fantastic nose, showing red fruits, mild oak and earthy scents..it keeps evolving in the glass and starts showing mushrooms and herbs. Very fruity and complex aromas. The bottle had been opened more than 1 hour but the aromas did not fade away.
Mouth: elegant, complex, fruity...oak is present but it doesn't dominate the palate. I fully agree with other reviews. This wine is astonishing!!
Do not decant it! Drink now.
January 10, 2008 - Ripe, stemmy woody, candied nose. Juicy and concentrated, very good structure with significant tannins. Very attractive.
December 4, 2006 - "What did I buy from Garagiste?!?" third semi-annual tasting and dinner (My home - Chicago IL): Tasting. Old vine Pinot Noir. At 1st quite tannic with moderate black fruit. Didn’t show lots of spice or nuance. On the 2nd day there were great aromatics, better integration and a longer finish. Fruit was still just average. I have one more bottle which I will try in another 5-10 years.
