August 14, 2016 - Tasted way late in the lifecycle of this wine. Would have been better 5 (?) years ago or so. The tannins have softened mightily but not disappeared. The fruit remains discernible but not marked. It might have been a mighty wine at one point, but that point was likely to have been short lived.

October 26, 2008 - Il Fornaio John -- Nice aromatics, slightly subdued, good asphalt/cola/tar... Tannic for sure, but sleek and classy.
