    January 9, 2024 - Had next to a 99 Solaia, both decanted for 3 hours and consumed over 1. This was very impressive! Probably not in prime yet, but definitely in the zone. Went through different stages while aerated. It started off quite muted but very elegant and precise. After an hour or so, the toasted oak made its precense, and I think the wine will be even better with that a little more integrated. One hour later, all the nuanses were there, cassis, a touch of bell pepper, leather, and tobacco, but also different types of dried herbs that came and went, dill, rosemary, and so on. It was so elegant yet powerful, filled with complexity and a lingering finish.

    August 27, 2023 - This was phenomenal. Perfect age for this vintage - drink now - I personally wouldn't hold beyond 2025. The power behind this was fierce and convincing from the get. Within just an hour of air, it truly lifted off and exploded with an intense dark berry medley that’s typical with these Bolgheri cabs; definition of Super Tuscan. What defines the Sassicaia production is the ability to add subtle but complex hints of herbal profiles, cassis, and a well rounded touch of oak. Finish that off with a perfect tannic structure and it makes for quite a glass each and every time.

    August 19, 2023 - Fully mature, with some brown on the colour; the palate is becoming mellow, with mature, savoury flavours, but still with good weight and length. Still fine, but for drinking up.

    June 19, 2023 - From 375 - this bottle was at the long end of the plateau, and starting the downward decline. I imagine 750s and mags still have a little life left, but if you haven't checked in, now would be a good time.

    May 17, 2023 - 淡宝石色,醒酒四个半小时,浑浊的中宝石红色,闻香有草本植物,黑李子,泥土,香草,橡木桶充分融合的香料感和木质香气,入口酸度高,单宁强劲,酒液咸,口中回甜,甘草,橄榄,李子和酸角的味道,后段口中回甘不止,细腻的木质香气,和法桶带来的香草味。酒体紧致,集中度漂亮,这时候状态已经起来了,随后一个半小时中持续绽放,虽然2006年远没有到西施佳雅的适饮巅峰,但是醒开后已经非常愉悦,单宁始终很强,结构坚挺,强健中又不乏优雅细腻,活泼可人的一面,那种严肃中透着甜美的融合风让我十分喜爱,余味是悠长的木质香气和香料味。

    April 14, 2023 - The youthful ripeness is now in a white elegant frame, cedar and forest floor with Cabernet notes of cassis and plum. More or less at peak but no rush.
