  August 26, 2012 - Velvety smooth. Probably coming to the end of its useful life, this wine was a delicate take on Petit Verdot. Hints of dark cherry and chocolate led into a nicely balanced mouth that left a lingering but not too long finish. Very drinkable now, and for only $25 this is great value. Glad I kept it so long!

  September 15, 2008 - An interesting varietal, the initial nose was magic marker alcohol. This lightened up after some time in the glass. The magic marker solvent faded but that characteristic sweetness remained in the nose. The rich prune/Chinese Herbal Doctor on the palate remained along with the glass staining/tooth staining richness. In a strange pairing, it brought out the best of the Indian Curry. Interesting, but probably best as a thickener in a blend. I'll bet it does good things in the Justin blends.
