Served following aeration and 1-hr decant with Beef Tri-Tip, Broccoli, Mashed Potatoes and Green Salad.
Garnet red on the pour; lovely, clear, ruby-red in the glass. Fragrant Nose of Cherry & Raspberry with hint of Strawberry. Medium body, yet full-Flavored. Robust, with notes of leather, tobacco and spices. Ample acidity (high) with moderate, but surprisingly grippy tannins after the initial burst of flavor. Pleasantly tart, lingering finish. Refined, yet retaining a modicum of Rusticity, characteristic of the varietal. -

June 26, 2020 - Initial hints of oak and leather with an earthy precipitousness. Fresh aromas of blueberries and plums expand on the nose. On the palate it is a gorgeous semi dry Sangiovese with chewy tannins and a smooth grip on the tongue. I highly recommend it with any Italian food especially a Napoli pizza!
