March 8, 2024 - Absolutely stunning. Blackberry jam, cured meat, vanilla, dark chocolate and hints of eucalyptus. Still youthful but with soft tannins. Drinks very well but will easily live for another decade.

December 30, 2023 - Decided to hate this for NYE 2023
ghee it's good but probably better in a few more years
from the producer description still accurate today although it was in oak for 30 months prior to release and these notes written
Intense, lifted aromatics of dense cherry plum and dark chocolate all come to the fore with an opulent fruit profile of mulberry and five-spice. A silky textured palate of deep red cherry fruits, clove and licorice all interwoven with hints of sweet spice and cinnamon. The layers and diverse fruit characters continue to evolve in the glass with hints of ironstone, anise, blackberry, and pepper all becoming more persistent in the finish. A silky, fragrant RunRig 2015 will certainly reward those with patience.

July 16, 2023 - Fine, intense with the refinement of viognier. Drinkable now but better with a few more years.

July 1, 2023 - Much better than last bottle. No decant but opened a couple hours prior and poured a glass.
    Brooding, complexity developing.

June 7, 2023 - Not as big a wine as I was expecting, but still plenty of Wow! factor. The bottle was opened, but not decanted, for over an hour at a NYC restaurant before serving. It was part of a Syrah tasting with my wine group. The others where a 2016 Force Majeure SJR Vineyard, and a 2004 Sine Qua Non Poker Face. Hard to say which one was my favorite. Long finish, great nose. A treat to drink. I had it with Mutton!
