July 31, 2023 - Honeydew melon, apple, pear, rainier cherry, apricot, and white peach fruit with dried pineapple, raw cashews, spring meadow, ginger, jasmine tea, and just a touch of cayenne on the finish. Oily thick texture. All the flavor components of good Marsanne/Roussanne are there, but this is more restrained from bottles that I have had from other, more-famous appellations. It also needs a bit more acid, but there’s a touch of lemon on the finish.. This didn’t hold up well to richer dishes like rabbit stew, but it was a nice match with Brandade. Good, but I have liked other wines made with these grapes better. Saint Peray is mostly known for sparkling wine made from Marsanne and Roussanne, but is also respected for its still white wines.

November 21, 2022 - Floral and powdery on the nose - it’s that sort of makeup smell of a great aunt’s handbag (I say that with love!). Stonefruit and a crisp tartness initially on the palate, but opens up to give apple pie and dried pineapple. It’s great.

    July 21, 2022 - 3rd bottle from a 6 pack, last consumed about 1.5 yrs ago.
At that time, I said this wine was "not in my wheelhouse". But today, I changed my mind.
Enjoyed this with some spicy Thai food, and it was such a delicious match.
Stone fruits like peach and pear, with some hazelnut or almond nuttiness, some chalky minerals, nicely supported with firm acidity, keeping the wine from being too generous or oily.
Just really loved it this evening. Drink through 2025 or so, delicious.

May 7, 2022 - Top Saint Péray. Needed some time to open up. But once it did, it impressed

February 5, 2021 - 2nd of 6 bottles purchased. Last consumed almost 2 yrs ago.
The blend of this cuvée is 60% Roussanne and 40% Marsanne, aged all in French oak barrels.
This one had a faint whiff of cork on the nose. Otherwise the wine was very good, and held up well over 2 days.
I love white wine, but this wine is not in my ideal wheelhouse. A little oily and nutty, I am a fan of more zing and freshness.
Tasty but not a repurchase for me. Drink through 2025 or so, I would say.

August 19, 2020 - First bottle. Still very tightly coiled. White peach, greener fruit elements, floral notes, perhaps the Marsanne quite prominent. Not unenjoyable but will benefit from time ***(*?)

June 16, 2019 - Flowers, almonds, marzipan, good acidity on full body, really long finish. Wait 1-2 years before drinking.

2 years after 2019, still fresh, a green note, great minerality, acidity is more present, body is a bit lighter. Nice wine

May 21, 2019 - Monthly Tuesday group "The Dead Sparrow" #039: Northern Rhone white (By JdB): White fruits like pear and apple in the bouquet. On the palate pineapple and fresh citrus. Good acidity and pleasant bitterness.

April 16, 2019 - Consumed over 2-3 nites. Very good, a bit oily and thick upon opening, but sprouted wings and lightened up a bit with nice acidity on the 2nd nite. Very floral, with apricot and lychee fruit, stones, white pepper. Tasted Viognier-like to me initially, moved more Marsanne-like after a day being opened. Drink now through 2023+.
