Community Tasting Notes 13

March 13, 2022 - Daily drinker. Nothing special, a bit disjointed mid palate, good amount of oak and heavy fruit on the nose, especially on Day 1. Day 2 becomes more integrated but also lacked depth and complexity. Short finish. Peter other acceptable but not memorable

March 11, 2022 - Softening, but benefits from a decant. Blackberry, cassis, forest floor, cedar, mocha aromas. Loaded with flavor showing blackberry, anise, cedar, mocha, earth. The tannins show up in the finish, but are softening. Good food wine.

December 13, 2021 - Blackberry, cassis, maybe raisin. A full-bodied, mouth-filling wine. Very light acid almost suggesting orange. Retro-nasal sensation almost suggesting a combination of dried fruit and unsweetened chocolate. A very satisfying wine.

July 28, 2021 - this is a big wine and needs at least a 2 hour decant. Blackberry, cassis, forest floor, cedar, mocha, anise aromas. Lot so fflavor with blackberry, anise, cedar, mocha, earth, cassis flavors. The big tannins have started to soften. Good now with a decant, but probably still better in a few years.

February 21, 2021 - Quite enjoyable layered. Some nice fruit and acidity. Went well with wagyu tenderloin
