December 23, 2016 - Sherried, with the color of apple juice. My only bottle, so I'm not sure if it's this particular one, or if it's representative of the wine, in general.

January 6, 2015 - 14.5% alc; light to mid gold. Developed nose with lots of hay, quince, wet wool, honey, crushed wet stones and sand. The palate has a crisp acidity, fruit reflects the nose; a noted alcohol that adds a spiky note to the wine. As wine opens up there is white pepper, celery salt - a little Gruner Veltliner! Bone - alongside lemon and quince, sage; dry, but alcohol penetrates the wine and fads on the finish. tiring

April 16, 2014 - 14.5% Alc; Mid gold to deep yellow colour. Plenty of minerals on the nose alongside honey, quince, chalk. Rather evolved. Crisp acidity with a dry edge to the texture, a little phenolic with lemon zest and lemon oil, slowly degenerates as honey creeps into the mix, making the wine feel tired and past its peak.

April 7, 2013 - gorgeous classic savennieres (honeyed spicy minerality with a floral and oxidative hint) that paired perfectly last night with our dover sole in a brown butter pecan truffle sauce at Michaels in Winnetka. The restaurant was pairing this with a Puize Chablis, but the sommelier Marco and I both agreed that this Savennieres "rocked it"!!
