    November 15, 2020 - Excellent

May 17, 2020 - Much darker and perhaps more multi layered than the Julg Spateburgunder I had a few weeks ago, not as much fruit and overall a very different drink indeed more earthy and funky.
Possibly needs more time or is entering a dumb phase, or maybe I was just tired!
I preferred the Julg at this age but will watch to see how this evolves.

May 16, 2020 - Ruby colour no fading rim very bright, crunchy cherry and cranberry on the nose with a touch of lanolin, very much the same in the mouth spot on acidity and some finish, no decanting straight in the glass same wine after two hours open.
Great VFM and I will purchase again, some spatburgunders are starting to go the way of Burgundy on price so take advantage of bargains like this while you can.

March 31, 2020 - From 75cl, good cork, decanted for fine sediment 30 minutes. Outstanding bright red-fruit pinosity on the nose; scintillating acid, red fruited entry (the back label promises black cherry, but this is misleading, think superripe cranberry and morello); satisfying fine tannic structure on the mid-palate. Amazing value at 22€ German retail. Perfectly mature today, but several years in hand. 91P

December 15, 2019 - Amazingly enjoyable, it shows a fresh Pinot fruit paired with noble spice and a slightly earthy touch. Feels firm and shows a lot of grip, is rather the spicy and somewhat warmer Pinot, but with a fresh acidity, ripe tannins and an elegant structure. Ends long, on black cherries and a subtle note of cinnamon. It all appear very charming, has a good complexity and make already very fun to drink.
