May 15, 2019 - Buy. Yeah it's a bit circus weird for the blend which confuses people like an elephant driving around in a little side show car but its awesome. Tonnes of vanilla smacking luxury velvet.

May 12, 2019 - Drank over 2 nights. As good or better on night 2. Dark black color. Sweet cherry, tobacco, vanilla (from oak - not overbearing) and blackberry on nose. On palate, blackberry, black licorice (fruit primary) flavor profile. Full body, medium acidity and medium+ tannins. Very long finish. Delicious. 92-93+ (93 on night two score above reflects night one).
Would buy again.

Decanted - some crusty sediment.
NOTE: You must give this plenty of air. It's good initially, and blossoms wonderfully in the glass after an hour or so....
BUT - give it SEVERAL HOURS and, WOW.......you will see its full potential
December 25, 2018 - No detailed notes. Very typical and classic Clio
December 9, 2018 - Pop and pour, served just below cellar temperature. This wine is big, modern, fruity and has a touch of alcohol on the finish. I do not think it is jammy, I think it is bold and there is some earth to balance it out.
December 8, 2018 - Deep color almost pitch black. Intense aromatics with cassis, black currant, blackberry, blueberry, leather, and slight oak. Nice mouth feel with balanced tannins and acid. Blackberry, blueberry, and oak on the palate.
December 2, 2018 - This was an off bottle compared to all my others. This one was a little cough syrupy and quite tannic.
November 24, 2018 - Académie des Cinquante Tasting “Spain according to Peñin” (Restaurant Bij Qunis, Lijnden, NL): Tasted blind. A blend of 70% monastrell and 30% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 22 months new oak. Lively appearance, starting to brown at the edges; warm and generous nose, supple palate, easy, lacks structure, but the 16% ABV are reasonably well integrated, hot finish though.
