March 20, 2023 - Nice and smooth, drinking well right now. Tannins largely resolved

March 10, 2023 - I opened this a few nights ago, and it was much better night one though still softer than I'd expect and a bit disjointed, seeemingly past it's peak but fine to drink.

Tonight it's overly oxidized and I won't rate. The glass will go back into the bottle for cooking and I'll open up Lewelling. It was catching my fancy before I realized I had an open bottle to attend to.

October 16, 2021 - Exhibited green notes on the nose upon opening. 90 mins later, not decanted these have largely dissipated but there’s still some bell pepper. Nice grip on the stems this first feels syrupy on the palate then quickly shows wide, velvety tannins. This is well balanced and in a good place, fine on its own or w a variety of meats and poultry, and certainly tonites home made pizza. Great value @ $31 (spring ‘20 Covid sale)

November 17, 2020 - Vanilla, oak and alcohol were the dominant scents. After about 3 hours some olive, pepper and cherry started showing with some flavour notes of coffee, wood and astringent tannins. All the basics are there, but it’s rather clunky and obtuse at the moment. I think this needs at least another five years to start showing well.

May 2, 2020 - Coravan’d 2 glasses 3 nights earlier; balance of the bottle was Poppin pour in a group setting. Immature black and blue fruit on the nose, BlackBerry comes across a well-balanced palate. Overall in a very good place and fine on its own or with food. No rush
