December 6, 2016 - Kept well but clearly the drink date ending in 2012 is an understatement. Tannins are still there but not overpowering. Nice fruit flavors including blackberry and currents along with a hint of coffee. Gifted bottle and wish I had others.

June 19, 2015 - I opened this wine on my birthday after having it laid down for easily 6 or so years. It aged beautifully. Secondary flavors of mocha, cedar and a hint of camphor all wrapped in still present fruit that was dark and juicy. Ash and a hint of smoke on a very nice finish. This wine drank way above it's 50.00 price.
