December 21, 2022 - A lost Friday afternoon gathering – CDPs, Chave, Schrader and etc. (Q by Peter Chang - Bethesda, Maryland): Medium expressive nose displaying ripe yellow fruit, peach, a hint of pineapple, caramel, sweet spices and mineral. Medium concentration, very ripe sweet yellow fruit, rich and sweet, bright acidity, medium mineral, a medium long ripe yellow fruit driven finish. I am thinking this is a Rhone blend or Pinot Blanc. Also thinking very “natural” wine making. According to Joe, this is not correct as this should be a very precise mineral driven wine.

March 29, 2022 - This was tasty, though definitely had some oxidative notes for me; the apple fruit seemed a bit bruised and there was some toasted walnut; also some underlying lemon zest, a hint of florals; still overall very pleasant. Not sure if the oxidation if intended or just more like what Burgundy is experiencing.

September 7, 2021 - Very good stuff; ripe stone fruit, baked lemon, a hint of sweet spice, floral, and just a hint of minerality. Very good depth, maybe wanting a tiny bit of energy, but long and lingering.

March 16, 2021 - Almond, lemon, crushed herbs, this is good but you can tell it's still in an embryonic state and might be truly great if things can unwind.

November 26, 2020 - Had at Thanksgiving dinner.
N hints of florals, lemon oil, minerals
P lemon oil, herbs, minerals, smoke
F above average finish, lots of acidity
No rating as I think this may have been slightly off given past experiences with this bottling.

January 26, 2020 - What a great Chardonnay. We have 5 of these (daughters birth year - also named Cameron) so we wanted to check in on it. Paired wonderfully with a 6 pound whole red snapper with lemon, herbs, oranges.

Wine is perfectly balanced right now, with lemon, lemon oil, and just the slightest touch of pineapple/creaminess that I normally don't find in the Clos Blanc, but always do in the Abbey Ridge.

Nonetheless, everyone enjoyed and the bottle went quick!

September 23, 2019 - This is an exceptional Chardonnay. Always one of Oregon's best, this would destroy many white Burgundies in this price range (I paid $60) in a blind tasting, in my opinion. It was interesting to taste this side-by-side the 2015 Clos Electrique rouge (Pinot Noir). It was evident that 2015 was a warm year, but neither of them felt overly ripe whatsoever. This wine will only improve with age, but enjoyed now (with an hour or more in decanter before-hand) it will certainly satisfy.

September 16, 2019 - Day 1: Coravin 1/3 bottle into a decanter. Consumed over 1 hour. Continuously opened and developed. Light-moderate aromas of lemon curd. Acidity dominated the flavor profile, which slowly began to show a moderately ripe lemon curd. Medium body. Moderate complexity/finish. Clearly built to age over the mid term (3-7+ years).
Day 4: popped cork and consumed remaining 2/3 over 1 hour. The bottle showed more character this time around..
