July 26, 2023 - From a great cellar. High shoulder. Cork fell apart but wine wine superb. Dark color. Little bricking. Outstanding dark fruit, tar, banana oil, graphite. Perfect balance. Supple texture. Improved for the two hours and got sweeter with more air. Amazing.

November 28, 2018 - Chateau Latour - 30 year vertical (1983-2010) tasted blind (Switzerland): Light garnet, translucent color. Fully converted to vinegar unfortunately but then again, what do you expect from a 80+ year old wine. Has a long live ahead - as a salad dressing :-)

September 23, 2016 - Château Latour vertical tasting (1937 to 2003) ((Wine Watch, Ft. Lauderdale, Florida)): I have to echo Jeff Leve's experience on this one. Light amber color. If you want to know how this tasted, imagine a mixutre of acetone and sour spoiled apple juice. This wine was difficult to taste. If you want to buy a bottle of this, pay what you think the bottle is worth, not the wine that's inside.

July 30, 2015 - From a bottle that still held the original cork and a fill that was correct for being almost 80 years of age, this bottle was a poor drinking experience. The nose combined old cigarette, tobacco and ash aromas, but not fruit. On the palate, the wine was better than just wet, but just barely. Oh well... Another piece of bottled history down the drain. I've heard that good bottles of the 1937 provide great drinking. If you have a bottle, I hope it turn out better than mine.

August 4, 2014 - The Latour looked good in the glass and smelt even better. It had complex aromatics of smoke, antique furniture, sweat, meat and cassis. In the mouth it was quite rich and full with discernable red berry fruits, a touch of cedar and tobacco and plenty of savoury nuance. It still had ample structure with some graphite like tannins. It really fanned out on the finish leaving a delightful inner mouth perfume once swallowed.
